Intelligent Method of On-line Identifying Fault of Hydro-generator Rotor Windings

To effectively on-line diagnose the faults of inter-turn short-circuit and dual grounding in hydro-generator rotor,an on-line way for identifying the faults based on intelligent methods was presented in this paper.Fault characteristics for on-line collection were analyzed based on locale fault characters report.The fuzzy theory was introduced to classify fault characters' variety.Elman neural network which well dealt with collecting dynamic data in real time was introduced to identify the faults.A salient generator with rotor faults was simulated in Matlab6.5,the results of simulation and programming identification indicate that the above technique can identify normal operation,inter-turn short-circuit and dual grounding faults of rotor.
