Development of the new-type verification system used to verify speedometer and odometer or taximeter

A new-typed verification system to verify speedometers odometers or taximeters was designed by means of the combination of a microcomputer and a microcontroller.The microcomputer and the verification unit based on a microcontroller are the core of the verification system.The microcomputer exchanges information with the verification unit through a serial communication interface(RS-232),and they collaboratively complete many verification functions.The preliminary results showed that the system owns such advantages as high accuracy,high reliability,high universality,conveniency and possessing user-friendly interface and so on.So it can be used for the verification of speedometers and odometers or taximeters.
