Real-time inquiry system of buses running based on RFID

Haifeng Li · Journal of Liaoning Technical University · 2013

Focus on the increasing number of the residential population in modern cities and more pressure on buses running, this study established an electronic inquiry system of buses running based on wireless RF technology. The results show that at the same bus station, bi-directional data can be transmitted between the reader and electronic tags to collect the information; At different bus stations, each reader transmits or receives information via Ethernet and Internet to realize the communication among different bus stations. When multiple buses arrive at the same bus station simultaneously, the improved binary algorithm that based on pretreatment mechanism is used to solve the difficult issue of RFID tag collision, which allows a reader properly reads and writes more than one tag at the same time, and makes monitoring more reliable and system more complete. The inquiry system has a certain role on improving the efficiency and the life quality of citizens.
