Approach of statechart synthesis from UML sequence diagrams

Reverse engineering is a useful way to program comprehension. Now it has been the focus in the research field of software engineering. According to the dynamic property of object oriented software, it is worth studying the approaches of extracting dynamic models and models transformation. After the UML sequence and statechart are analyzed, an approach of statechart synthesis from UML sequence diagrams making reference to the BK algorithom is presented. Finally, a systematic experiment is conducted in order to verify the correctness and validity of this approach.
