Container Code Recognition Based on Boundary Template Matching Algorithm

In order to solve the problem in the container code recognition which is the poor recognition accuracy and time-consuming,a new method of container code recognition is presented. In this method,the first is to extract the feature vectors from the boundary of the characters. And used the template matching method to complete the initial recognition. Then to determine the character set which being confused easily by a large number of experiments. Next is to re-use of the unique characteristics of these characters to distinguish and recognize. Experimental results show that this algorithm not only reduces the computation,but also improve recognition speed and accuracy.
