Development Progress and Applications of Cognitive Radio
Zhao Yong · Telecommunication Engineering · 2009
The effective usage of spectrum is an important problem and also the bottleneck in wireless communications.Cognitive radio(CR) technology further expands the functions of software defined radio(SDR) and has become an effective method to cope with insufficient spectrum resource. In view of its important role of CR in wireless communications, the concept of CR is introduced, the characters are summarized, the relations between traditional radio,SDR and CR are analyzed, the civil and military applications of CR are listed, related key technologies are discussed, and finally the significance for studying CR technology is pointed out.
