To solve the limitation of network layers QoS(Quality of Service) technology,a QoS extension of 802.11 MAC(Medium Access Control) Protocol is proposed for Ad Hoc networks.By inviting new refuse control frame and inserting new priority flag into all control frames, the receivers role is enhanced in the medium contention. As a result, the higher priority services can be assured, and the congestion can be avoided in forwarding nodes.Simulation result shows that this extension can remarkably reduce End-to-End delay from 1.35 s to 0.65 s and loss rate of higher priority flow from 59.9% to 6.52% under extremely heavy loading circumstance in network.
