Safety Analysis of the WPA/WPA2 Protocol

Wireless local area network not only brings convenience to people's daily life, but also makes people's communication less security at the same time. In order to overcome so many security risks because of WEP protocol inherent weakness, Wi-Fi alliance proposed WPA/WPA2 protocol to replace WEP protocol. This paper mainly introduces the encryption process of WEP, WPA/WPA2 two wireless local area network communication protocols, and introduces the improvement made by WPA/WPA2 protocol from the data encryption, data integrity, and authentication. Finally the paper introduce the methods of attack to WPA/WPA2.
