Study and design of database middleware for electric power EAM system

To solve the problem of data inconsistency caused by the distributed databases and the different structure of databases existing in electric power EAM(enterprise asset management) system,the method of desiring a database middleware in the data access layer of electric power EAM system is adopted.Different kinds of data formats are converted by this database middleware,the upper layer applications can access the remote databases with different structure transparently.This database middleware has been used in Guangxi Xiang Zhou electric power EAM system.Finally the ability of database middleware to integrate databases seamlessly and to solve the data inconsistency problem is demonstrated.
