Traffic Event Duration Forecast on Urban Expressway Base on Decision Tree

A traffic event duration forecast method is presented.Hundreds of real urban expressway traffic event samples are first clustered to discretize the continuous event duration.A decision tree generation algorithm based on impure measurement is established to form the prediction model.The prediction model is verified by significance test using ANOVA on the model generation samples and compared the predicted result with the model test samples.The result shows the effectiveness of the introduced method.
