A fault diagnosis method based on time series characteristics for rotors of generator was put forward.Using the AR or ARMA models in the time series method,the pulse transfer function of a vibration system was gotten.By analyzing the vibration signals of different fault classes,the effects of the fault on Green function were found.The fault feature extracting method using the statistics characteristics of Green function for fault diagnosis was put forward.
