A Method for Image Mosaic based on combining Feature Extraction with Template Matching

In this paper,a method for image mosaic,which is based on combing feature extraction with the template matching,is proposed.First,feature points are detected by using Harris operator from two adjacent images,and then the location and size of template and search scope are determined according to position of feature points.This greatly reduces the amount of calculation and improves the matching accuracy.Experiments are performed with two lunar images and result show that our method is feasible and robust.
