Computing Discontinuous Constituency with Cooper Storage

Discontinuous constituency means the components which have discontinuous form in grammar but intact function of meaning.This special structure is common in natural language.After reviewing various discontinuous constituencies,especially the irreducible quantifiers,in contrast to the way of categorical grammar,this paper gives an algorithm based on Cooper storage combined with LR algorithm.The method asks for a particular labeling to the discontinuous constituency and has an advantage over categorical grammar,which first gives a unified treatment for discontinuous constituency,and second wouldn't change the syntax.
