Comparative Analysis on the Precisions between Two Methods for Tree Height Measurement

The paper elaborates the principles and precisions of both trigonometric leveling method and 3D forward intersection method,and introduces the formulas for precision calculation of these two methods respectively.Through 20 groups' experimental analysis,the result showed that the precision of trigonometric leveling method as 1.95% was higher than that of 3D forward intersection method as 4.83%.And both methods can meet the requirement for the precision of tree measurement in forestry.
