Shared tree optical multicast algorithm based on distributing network coding

In order to reduce network resource consumption and balance the link load in the traditional multicast shared tree algorithm,this paper proposed a new shared tree optical multicast algorithm based on distributing network coding.Based on adding maximized the optical link-sharing,the algorithm constructed a shared tree based on network coding to transfer datas for many point-to-multipoint multicast.The traditional multicast assigned a wavelength for each session,while the shared tree based the network coding was assigned only two wavelengths,so the new algorithm could reduce consumption of wavelength resources.Simulations demonstrate that this algorithm can effectively balance network load and reduce consumption of wavelength resources in comparison with the traditional multicast shared tree algorithm.
