With the continuously enhancement of the national power of China,the hydropower industry is also being developed vigorously.A great number of large-sized hydropower projects have been completed or under construction or proposed to be built.In combination with the installation and welding procedures of turbine spiral cases for huge hydropower stations,such as Wuqiangxi,Ertan and Three Gorges,etc.,this paper describes the erection technique of king-sized metal spiral cases and presents proposals for discussion.
