The research of Medical Image Storage and Read-Write System based on DICOM standard

This paper first introduces the format of DICOMbased medical image file its data element structure.Then a DICOM-based medical image storage and access system developed with C++ on windows platform is introduced.The class architecture and the arithmetics of read and write operation to medical images are described in the paper.The suggested approach is verified in a real Oral Digital Imaging System.
