The Mapping and Converting Method between MARC and DC Metadata

The most outstanding problem on the network information resource organization is how to use metadata to describe network resource and how to handle with transition between the different structure databases.This article gives a brief account of the limitation of MARC and advantage of Dublin Core,and pointes out the necessity about transformation from CNMARC to DC.It also lists the matching relationship between the DC element and every field of MARC,and introduces feasibility of exchange between MARC and DC.
