To study the properties of mechano-sorptive creep and recovery in wood, adopting the mechano-sorptive creep-measuring method,we measure the following processes: absorption and desorption under continuous load(AD);absorption under load and then desorption without load(Ad);desorption under load and then absorption without load(Da).The results show: 1) after moisture circulates five times, the maximal creep of AD process is two times that of Da process;2) during the absorption recovery process,AD drying set shows a linear recovery process;a turning point occurs during Ad drying set and Da drying set between different load moisture contents;3) the differences in drying set recovery before and after the turning point show that wood has the memory of load moisture contents resulting from drying set.
