Research and implementation of self-allocating cluster

Traditional web cluster is characterized by uniform load balance,which leads to several major problems: load measurement is not accurate;back servers are locked when the load is high;the front end usually becomes the bottleneck of the cluster system.In order to solve these problems,this paper presents a load balancing technique named self-allocating,which shifts the load balancing job to the back servers,improving the performance of the cluster greatly.This paper also presents the design of the self-allocating cluster system.Data from Intel lab shows that the self-allocating cluster achieves better parallelism,especially when the system is highly loaded.
