Design and Simulation of Flickermeter Based on LabVIEW and MATLAB

In this paper, flicker and the flickermeter architecture are described first. Then, the virtual instruments software LabVIEWand its Simulation Interface Toolkit are introduced. A complete flickermeter based on IEC is designed and simulated using LabVIEWand MATLAB/Simulink. The Simulation Interface Toolkit (SIT) provides a seamless integration between MATLAB/Simulink softwareand LabVIEW. With visualization technology, LabVIEW can simulate flickermeter with better effect. The simulation result proves thatthe design is correct.
