With the capability of automatically collecting,transmitting and processing the hydrological information such as rainfall and water level,a hydrological telemetry system can effectively improve the transmission speed and reliability,which plays an important role in hydrometry,hydrological information reporting,hydrologic data processing,hydrological forecasting,hydrological information service.This paper expounded the composition and function theory of hydrological telemetry system and the concerned application in Dehong.
