Study on the Sampling Technique for Afforestation Verification

On the basis of sample theory,this paper analyses the benefits and shortcomings of the existing afforestation verification methodology. Some discussions concentrate on the sampling intensity and sample form. The ratio estimate and its application method is recommended for afforestation verifications. A proposal has been developed for calculating the precision of sampling and the formulas are presented in the paper.
