Design of a Low Power 429 Bit Encoder Circuit

A practical low power 429 bit encoder circuit was presented.The circuit was designed with a novel topology and fabricated in thick film technology.The circuit size is 30 mm × 20 mm × 5 mm.Operational principle of each cell in the circuit was analyzed.And simulation was made with PSpice.Test results were in good agreement with simulation.Compared with other 429 bit encoder circuits,the proposed circuit features low power consumption(supply voltage ±5 V,supply current ≤ 1 mA),high reliability,simple structure,and good consistency.The circuit was applicable for modern airborne digital communication system.
