The renovation of the damaged taper thread workpiece according to its original thread helical line can reduce production cost and enhance economic efficiency,which has great significance in petroleum drilling industry.The adoption of machine vision could work out thread pitch and achieve the emendation of rotating angle with the help of CCD camera and computer picture processing.Combined with controlling of positioning plate through NC program,the drill's screw thread is repaired efficiently and accurately in CNC.
