Novel Multilevel Location Management Scheme Based on Mobility in Ad Hoc Networks

As far as we know,Location management is a new problem under the research of Ad Hoc network.In this paper,the authors present a novel location management scheme which combines advantages of both the SLALoM and the HGRID,according to the mobility of the nodes,introduce the threshold M that limits the updating cost,and eliminate the ping-pong effect,decrease the overhead cost of the location control information.By analyzing,this scheme is a completely scalable location management scheme which scales well for large scale mobile Ad Hoc networks.
