Abstract: The performance of switches are influenced mainly by switching fabric and scheduling algorithms. This paper study the virtual output queuing (VOQ) model based on crossbar with switch fabric, queuing models, throughput and arbitration algorithms, to provides a meaning conclusion to build high bandwidth switches.
