A New Approach to the Design of Desk Area Network Interface for ATM Seamless Interconnect

ATM is able to afford high performance in LAN/WAN, and now can be successfully applied to the interconnect of memories in DAN. This paper presents a new DAN interface with high data throughout which is necessary for multimedia communications. We emphatically introduce its internal design ,direct access to the registers on chip and high efficiency DMA data transmission in order to minimize the cell latency.
