An Analysis of the Syntactic Structure of "N1+V1 得+N2+V2"——On the application of Construction Grammar in Studies of Chinese Language

From the view of constructional meaning this article classifies the syntactic structure ofN1+V1 得+N2+V2into two types: effective sentences and causative sentences,and argues that the constructional meaning plays a guiding role in the sentence classification.Constructional meaning and verb semantic meaning in sentences influence each other: when the constructional meaning and verb semantic meaning are in conformity,qualified sentences can be generated;when the constructional meaning and verb semantic meaning are of inconsistency,the constructional meaning will be suppressed,resulting the change of the verb semantic meaning in sentences.The paper also analyzes the verb types in the sentences ofN1+V1 得+N2+V2,and explains the reasons.This article finally discusses the application of construction grammar in Chinese phrases and words and proposes that construction grammar is effective in highlighting the constructional meaning.
