Implementation of Client System for Configurable Network Measurement Infrastructure

Besides performing the job of collecting raw data for CNMI, the client in CNMI possesses also new features such as platform independent, command receiving and processing capability, dynamic configuration and deployment, and automatic probes downloading. It can start multiple measurement tasks simultaneously, and serve multiple users at the same time. A prototype of the system is deployed on CERNET for trial operation. Preliminary results show that CNMI can better satisfy the needs for measuring the performance of ever emergingnew network applications.
