For the characteristics of hybrid system which contained both motion law and mechanism evolution of continuous and discrete dynamic simultaneously, this paper presented a hybrid system's mode tracking method based on global analytical redundancy relations(GARRs).Bond graph model of the hybrid system was set up and converted to diagnosis hybrid bond graph(DHBG)model.According to the DHBG,GARRs and modechange signature matrix(MCSM)were derived.Using the mode change signature vector and change characteristics of the voltage and current when the switch turned on or turned off,the switching device which caused the modes change was fixed the position. Finally, this method was simulated and analyzed by Matlab software. The feasibility and validity of the new method of mode tracking of hybrid system based on the GARRs were verified.
