CT Image Retrieval Based on Angle of Edge Direction

A new method of content-based medical image retrieval was proposed. First a kind of image named image of edge direction angle was obtained by using canny detector. The texture of this image was very clear. The feature of texture was got by using the method of grey level co-occurrence, and using grey histogram feature as the first retrieval feature. The result proves the availability of this method.
