Fountain Codes and Applications in Wireless Video Multicast Environment

In this paper,two schemes about fountain codes’ data distribution in wireless multicast environment are put forward,on the basis of different functions of intermediate node.Wireless multicast users have different channel characteristics.In view of such situation,a mixed fountain codes project is proposed in which a sender selects different fountain codes according to the differences between channel characteristics of the users.The simulating results prove that fountain codes which has short code length improves the successful decoding probability of users.
