Progress of Geodetic Data Processing for 60 Years in China Part 1:Progress of Functional and Stochastic Model

The functional and stochastic models are the fundamental of data processing.By continuous working for 60 years,the Chinese geodesists have constructed and improved many functional models,such as,generalized adjustment model,equivalent observation model,non-linear adjustment model and so on,based on the geodetic practice.Some innovation works have been published in variancecovariance component estimation,and error statistic testing,for example,Bayesian estimation of variance components,quasi-accurate detection of gross errors etc.,which enrich the theories and methods of geodetic adjustments.In this paper,the emphases are on the progresses of functional and stochastic models as well as the error statistic testing methods contributed by Chinese geodesists.
