Layered Key Management Scheme for Cluster Wireless Sensor Networks

Shang Xiao-yang · 2010

Effective key management scheme is the foundation for the secure communication of cluster wireless sensor networks. As to some especial properties of cluster wireless sensor networks, a layered key management scheme for cluster wireless sensor networks in this paper. This paper uses different key management schemes. Cluster communication key is generated by means of Chinese remainder theorem. It could effectively transfer complicated computation to the base station and lower the storage consumption. Cluster headers communication key is generated implementing the BLOM matrix, it effectively enhance the ability of resilience. Under comparative analysis, the proposed scheme can effectively save the constrained energy of sensor nodes. Every node needn’t deposit numerous sharing key, but only deposits corresponding key according to different transit information and security request,. It also provides high scalability of the network as well as resilience ability.
