The marine geologic hazards are important factors affecting the safety in the marine exploitation activities. Based on the study of geologic hazards and geologic hazard environments in the East China Sea oil and gas resource area, the weighted statistical model and geographic information system method are used to quantitatively evaluate the sea bed stability in the study area. The evaluation results are then used to determine the sea bed stability levels of different geomorphological subareas in the East china Sea oil and gas resource area.
