A novel multipath transmission diversity scheme in TDD CDMA systems

In this paper,a novel multipath diversity scheme used in TDD CDMA systems is proposed.Compared with the conventional RAKE receiver,a FIR filter is added in the transmitter.We will see the optimum filter problem may be viewed as an eigenvalue problem,and the maximum eigenfilter is the optimum FIR filter.We also analyze the multiple antennas system.Numerical results show that the new scheme can greatly improve the output Signal to Noise Ratio(SNR) compared with conventional RAKE receiver or Pre RAKE combiner.
