Content-based Image Retrival

In this paper, a new retrieval and indexing model is proposed for color feature, which is derived from characteristics of human vision model. The new model incorporates color and spatial information into retrieval and indexing process, while retaining the advantages of histograms. Experiments are carried out with Chabot’s images. It is shown that the proposed model is effective and feasible.
