Brittleness is one of the basic characteristics of a complex system with brittleness link function and brittle link entropy defined.The collapse brittleness of complex system was studied using the noncooperative game theory to provide theoretical basis for control of complex systems.The brittleness of a traffic system was analyzed as a typical example.The definition of brittleness and its related theory can serve the control of complex system,and provide theoretical basis for the designand control of complex system.
