Application of adaptive trellis coded quantization in image compression
Jia Wang · Information technology newsletter · 2010
In this paper,a modified Trellis Coded Quantization(TCQ) for JPEG2000 named Adaptive Trellis Coded Quantization (ADTCQ) is presented. ADTCQ has the architecture of multi-stage TCQ,and modifies the trellis used in ADTCQ algorithm adaptively by using the data that has been processed by the algorithm. Experiment results show that adaptive TCQ has better performance than standard TCQ in JPEG2000.
