GPS position information processing based on single chip computer

For the boat on the sea can obtain available position information rapidly and can globally,a single chip computer based design of GPS position information acquisition is introduced.This system employs ATMEL's AT89C51 as a core controller,communicating with GPS module(HOLUX GR-87)in serials port,receives NMEA-0183 standard formed navigating data output from GPS module,among which GPRMC is selected to acquire geological information and timing information.Finally the acquired geological information and timing information are displayed on the display terminal after proper data processing such as time difference correction.Afte debugging,this system can receive GPS position information and time information,and can display longitude,latitude and time.
