Improved Registration Procedure Based on Cache in IMS
Huang Xing-ping · Journal of Chinese Computer Systems · 2011
An improved registration procedure based on cache in IMS(IP Multimedia Subsystem) is proposed after the analysis of registration procedure in IMS.At the first interactive phase when UE(User Equipment) register to S-CSCF(Serving-Call Session Control Function),P-CSCF(Proxy-CSCF) caches the address information of I-CSCF(Interrogation-CSCF) which is gotten through DNS combined queries, and I-CSCF caches the address information of S-CSCF which is selected by this I-CSCF.At the second interactive phase between UE and S-CSCF,the relative entities retrieve the address information from the cache. So the registration procedure can be speeded up.Analysis result shows that the improved registration procedure is better than the standard one.Furthermore, the improved registration procedure has minor change to IMS network and can be deployed and realized easily.
