The Wavelet Packets Transformtion Application to the Signal Processing System for EEG Based on DSP
Rirong Zheng · Microcomputer Information · 2011
The wavelet packets transformation (WPT) is a very powerful tool for the analysis of non-stationary signals. The WPT is one of the most effective methods to extract the time-frequence information. It is better than the general spectrum analysis. This paper designed a EEG processing system which can meet the real-time requirement of signal anlysis. It introduced the wavelet transform theory and the wavelet packets transformation theory. Designed the hardware structure of EEG processing system based on TMS320VC5509A and the software structure which is based on the wavelet packets transformation algorithm. Besides, we still extracted the four rhythms of EEG. The EEG processing system is a very useful method to analysis the signals in medical science. It is a feasible and effective solution.
