Creating Report Forms by DataWindow

Aiming at the existed disadvantages that general reports was created in PowerBuilder (PB), the method of creating report forms by DataWindow is presented in this paper. The dynamic DataWindow was established by Creat() function of PB for forms would created in this method, and then property value of DataWindow was captured by Descnbe() function, the property of DataWindow was modified by modify() function. The data table that contains table name, title name, data source and syntax was established in database. The process of dynamically creating report forms includes data source, output word, printing and save form.
