A Method of the Voice Endpoint Detection Based on Maximum of Autocorrelation Function

Owing to the limitation in the application of the endpoint detection method based on the short energy or hidden Markov model, a new method based on the maximum of autocorrelation function is put forward. The period of sonant and sonata′s autocorrelation function characteristics after autocorrelation function filtered through a lowpass are studied. The experimental results show that this method can detect the voice endpoint exactly even in a low SNR environment.
