Research on MPLS loop prevention threads mechanism

The threads mechanism can be used to prevent Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) from setting up Label Switched Path(LSPs) which have loops. It works if some, all, or none of the LSRs in the LSR support VC merge. The threads mechanism is more scalable and robust than other alternatives. In this paper, a thread control block(TCB) is analysed ,the finite state machine and the SDL of TCB is introduced. Finally the applicability of the algorithm and its advantage are analysed.
