Calculation of maximum delay in switched industrial Ethernet based on network calculus
Weidong Zhang · Kongzhi yu juece · 2005
To guarantee QoS for periodic real-time data in switched industrial Ethernet, non-preemptive priority scheduling method is introduced into switches, and leaky bucket regulator is used at source nodes to constrain aperiodic data entering into the network. Network calculus is used to derive service curves provided by switches for different types of data. For a switched industrial Ethernet model with tree topology, the maximum network delays of real-time data are calculated based on derived results.
