Model Driven Architecture is a new system development thought. The core of MDA is the separation of the system function criterion and its realization in particular technology platform, transfers the emphases of application system development from coding to modelling,by the automatic or semi-automatic changes and stipulations among the models,at last smooth system code is generated. This paper studies the structure of the MDA,relevant technology and development process, analyzes the architecture and function of the corps spatial information system, then divides the architecture of the corps spatial information system into spatial data layer, platform layer, product and service layer,user-level layer. On this basis,it combines the keystone of the MDA and development thought of model driven, then gives a method of building corps spatial information system domain model, transferring model and developing application. This method provides a high-efficient model basis of building corps spatial information system.
