Applying the re-encoding and coordinate transformation technology, the complexity of algebraic soft-decision decoding of Reed-Solomon(RS) codes can be greatly reduced.Based on the properties of the polynomial using these two technologies,a mix polynomial-selection and factorization(MSF) method is proposed in this paper to simplify the structure of decoding and reduce the complexity of factorization. The necessary simulation results show that 0.1~0.2 dB performance increase for RS(255,239) and RS(63,55) over traditional LCC decoding is achieved with comparable computational complexity.
