A Method of Image Retrieval Based on Dominant Color Generalized Histogram

In order to improve the efficiency of content-based image retrieval, an image retrieval method based on generalized histogram with dominant color was proposed. It not only considers the information of positions, but also improves the indexing speed. Meanwhile, it reduces the influence of different backgrounds between the images. The experiment results show that the method is efficient.
